textPlus ist eine Cross-Plattform Messaging App, die nunmehr vielen Blackberynutzern bekannt sein sollte. Das Windows Phone Äquivalent ist ab jetzt im (englischen) Marketplace verfügbar. Zwar handelt es sich hierbei noch um eine Betaversion, die fertige Vollversion dürfte ihr aber bald folgen.
Wir können davon ausgehen, dass die WP7 App regelmäßig Updates erhalten wird und somit stetig in ihrer Qualität zunimmt. Stützen lässt sich diese Vermutung auf die Äußerung der Developer bezüglich Windows Phone:
Wir ließen uns nicht von Zahlen überzeugen, vielmehr war hierfür das Nutzererlebnis unter WP7 ausschlaggebend. […] Ich würde jede Wette eingehen, die Microsoft und Nokia als Schaffer neuer Dynamik zum Inhalt hat. Bei beiden handelt es sich um hungrige Konzerne.
textPlus verzeichnet 27 Millionen registrierte Nutzer, die 110 Millionen Nachrichten/Tag versenden. Wir hoffen für die Entwickler von TextPlus, dass die App auch unter Windows Phone eine ähnlich gute Figur abgibt.
