Windows Phone 8 bringt Xbox Musik Cloud-Service

Es gab bereits lange Gerüchte dazu, dass Windows Phone 8 es erlauben wird, Musik von Skydrive zu streamen. Ein weiterer Screenshot vom geleakten Windows Phone 8 Emulator gibt nun Hinweise darauf, dass es zwar eine solche Funktion geben wird, der Speicher aber getrennt von Skydrive ist.

Genannt wird das ganze „Xbox Music cloud collection“. Bereits zuvor gab es Gerüchte, dass Microsoft mit großen Labels um Streaming-Rechte verhandelte.
Bloomberg schrieb dazu:

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) plans an expansive Xbox music service joining Spotify-style streaming with download and online-storage functions similar to Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iTunes, several people with knowledge of the situation said.

So wird es wohl mehr als nur einen Cloud-Service mit Windows Phone 8 geben, da App-Einstellungen wohl auch nicht mehr auf Skydrive gespeichert werden sollen.
