Diese Woche hat Major Nelson die Xbox Games with Gold des Monats September bekanntgegeben. Jeder, der ein Xbox Live Goldabonnement besitzt profitiert von diesem Angebot. Hierbei werden im Monat August vier Games, je zwei Xbox One- und zwei Xbox 360-Spiele kostenfrei zum Download angeboten. Aus den Preisen der Spiele des kommenden Monats resultiert ein Gesamtwert von 59,96 €, welchen ihr euch einsparen könnt.
Im September hat Microsoft weniger populäre Titel in das Angebot der Games with Gold gesteckt. Die Spiele Prison Architect: Xbox One Edition (Action-Adventure) und Livelock (Shooter) stehen für die Xbox One bereit. Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Action-Adventure) und Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World (Action-Adventure) sind sowohl für die Xbox 360 als auch für die Xbox One kostenlos verfügbar. Dies wird ermöglicht durch die Abwärtskompatibilität der Xbox One.
