Diese Meldung ist wirklich überraschend: Nokias Kameraexperte Damian Dinning verlässt das Unternehmen noch Ende dieses Monats. Damian Dinning war mitverantwortlich für die PureView-Technologie und zuvor bei Minolta, Eastman Kodak und Nikon tätig, bevor er 2004 bei Nokia anfing.
Following the relocation of key strategic roles to Finland, and with great reluctance, Damian Dinning has made a personal decision to leave the company effective 30 November 2012.

Folgendes gab Nokia Damian Dinning auf den Weg:
During the past nine years, [Damian] has made many innovative and valuable contributions to Nokia, most recently as a lead program manager in our Smart Devices business.
We thank him for his service to the company and certainly wish him the best.
Genaue Gründe sind also noch unbekannt, allerdings berichtete Softpedia, dass es mehr Details in ca. zwei Wochen geben soll. Auf Twitter postete Dinning folgendes:

Ob Damian Dinning zu einem Konkurrenten wie Samsung wechselt und wer die Stelle bei Nokia nun übernimmt, ist noch nicht klar.
Update: Damian Dinning meldete sich nun auf der Webseite PureViewClub zu Wort und gab bekannt, dass er zu Jaguar Land Rover geht. Wie Nokia UK bereits bekannt gab, hat dies damit zu tun, dass strategisch wichtige Posten im Unternehmen nach Finnland verlagert werden. Da Dinning nicht mehr umziehen will, widmet er sich nun seiner zweiten Leidenschaft – den Autos. Hier ein Auszug aus dem Statement – das gesamte findet ihr unter diesem Link.
